It like how the scheming Angrez linked partition with religion to undertake it through their propped up brokers such as jinnah, gandhi, nehru, etc. It was angrez media and recognition of these brokers that hijacked indian freedom in 1947. We cannot repeat 1947 with kashmir religion based seperatist.
kashmir leaders cannot lead any honest revolution after murdering Kashmiri pandits/etc on basis of religion and being mute spectators to it when it happened.

In kashmir, divide by religion is satanic concept and totally unacceptable. Satan will prey on weak and it's demands will continue until it's end arrives. It will horribly and slowly slaughtering weak animals, etc.

This is why i embraced Buddhism and relinquished foreign faith because i saw their purpose. all those disgruntled or economically weak or whatever join foreign religions.

Division by religion is a foreign concept imposed in our region by foreign forces.

Some of those middle-eastern religions want to claim certain asians-aAfros under false theories of Lost tribes when those were pPharoah tribes. The purohits connection of india and Egypt extends to Egytian Ra (power and consciousness of the Sun God ) and sSurya (Sun) Vanshi rRama.

the connection of Egyptian Oracle at Siwa and Indian sShiva has dwindled over time. the oracle remain.

One wonders why all these angry Indians kept so quiet when our close neighbour Iran under the Brutal Cleric regime hunted down peaceful opposition members, who had only protested against a fraud / rigged election last year? Iran is LOT closer to us and it sets the course for Pakistan to follow, hopefully not very soon!

America's support is never about innocent civilians - it is about it's strategic interest which is oil. It has the past one century replaced many civilian governments with dictators who kill their people and do the America's bidding. Gaddafi can murder his own people and the western governments ( not its people) will show itself to be very concerned about the people while the only truth and the real truth is it wants oil at no dollar costs.

It should take him only ....say 10 or 15 years, a trillion dollars and 5000 US war dead to get to the point where we can call the war "a draw"

i agree we should help any country having these issues! Unfortunately not as much media coverage means less people know/care. I was discusted that we (Australia) took so long to help the East Temoreans, considering their fuzzy wuzzy angels helped our men so much in world war 2, we do turn a blind eye way too often.

what is wrong with half of you??? This would not be war that the US would be fighting, its peacekeeping! Unfortunately its happenning in other countries too, not to this scale. But of course the west should get involved. And yes we have ignored way too many situations like this. If masses of people are being wronged so seriously by their DICTATOR we should step in. Plus if we step in to help the people of Lybia, the other cuel dictators will get the picture that the world is changing and we are no longer going to except the way they rule their countries.

Could agree with you more. The entire world should be doing more to stop genocide anywhere it occurs. The US doesn't have enough blood and treasure to be everywhere all the time. And because it isn't somehow that means it's "just for oil". Where is the WORLD in Africa or anywhere else for that matter.

Conservatives have lobbied for a "strong defense".
In reality armies are generally used, not to protect the country, but to quell rebellious citizens and to impose the government's will on the people
Libya, China, Russia, Thailand, Burma, Saudi Arabia.... have all used their armies..not to defend against outside invaders but to to put down internal dissent.
So remember: The next time an American neocon hawk pushes for more money for defense, what he is asking for is for Americans to finance their own destruction.

When I read comments like this, it always surprises me because we see similar situations in African countries, where leaders have been doing massive genocides but I never see the UN or USA supporting in large humanitarian or military intervention. Are there any differences from the humans from region or are the interests much different at stake.

Sorry Parky, this wouldn't happen in the US because 1) protests would not draw gunfire from the government, not after Kent State, and 2) I and about 20% of the states would be marching against you. The beauty of our long practiced democracy is that you and your 20% are offset by me and my 20% with the other 60% staying home to watch American Idol or something.

So if Ghadafi manages to brutally stop the rebellion and kill thousands of dissidents in the process, would those calling for no western military support or intervention still be singing the same tune? Bush was a warmonger, I do not believe the same is true for Obama. Anything more than surgical military strikes against Ghadafi's military and peacekeeping/humanitarian support and even US support will be thin. I don't think we have much of any interest in Libya's oil per se, as most of it is traded to Europe anyway. Besides, most oilfields are in the rebel's hands.
